Special Parking Accommodations
Dear Carver Parents and Guardians,
As part of our ongoing effort to ensure accessibility at our school, this message is to inform you of accommodations that Carver provides for parents, guardians, and students who may need access to the school's parking lot during pick up and/or drop off hours.
In order to maintain safety for our students, the parking lot at Carver remains closed during drop-off and pick-up hours on each school day. This is an effort to ensure that students are not walking through the parking lot in the presence of traffic.
Carver currently requires families to drop off students near the auditorium on Redwood Street. Parents and guardians can drop their students off at the bottom of the stairs or walk up the stairs with their students) to their classroom. Although these are the current pick-up and drop-off procedures at Carver, we understand that parents, guardians, and students may need accommodations due to a disability. Carver is prepared to work with parents and guardians to ensure accessibility during school drop off and pick up.
For those who need accommodations due to a disability, Carver will allow access to the parking lot during drop off and pick up times. If you or your student require handicapped access due to a disability, please reach out to our office so that our staff can coordinate and allow you access to the parking lot.
